Unconventional Art Materials - Duct Tape and Thread

I've had my fair share of bored days in college where I made duct tape animals, and I've got friends who make wallets, bags, and even clothing out of duct tape. Never anything as intricate as artist Takahiro Iwasaki, who carves landscapes out of rolls of duct tape and creates thread sculpture masterpieces - buildings and electrical towers. I love the sculptures, but I disagree with their presentation: he sits his art on top of random objects, as seen below, on towels and toothbrushes, and I think it takes away from the delicacy of his pieces. Water is so interesting. Friday Flower Shoot

About a week ago, I ran a 5k race with a bunch of girl friends and at the finish line, volunteers gave out water, fruit, ice cold towels, and a flower to each runner. Getting a flower after a run was a first for me! I kept it in a wine bottle vase for a few days until it started to dry out. Before it withered away completely, I took some photos. As you scroll down, you can see how I picked off a few petals at a time until there were none left on the stem.
